Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion Agy Sardari needs a new challenger for his title at Cage Warriors 121 after the withdrawal of Mehdi Ben Lakhdhar and now he has one because MMA Junkie reports that Donovan Desmae has accepted the short notice opportunity.
Sardari (13-2-0) is making the first defense of his championship, which the fighter won by defeating Jack Grant at Cage Warriors 119. Sardari enters the contest riding a seven fight winning streak and he hasn’t been defeated in over three years. Sardari has suffered two losses as a pro MMA fighter and both of them came by way of decision.
Desmae (14-6-0) has won two of his last three in Cage Warriors, with those wins coming over Alexander Jacobsen and Tim Barnett. Desmae is competing for the first time in over a year, with his last fight happening at Cage Warriors 107 in September of 2019. Desmae has picked up seven of 14 pro MMA wins by KO/TKO, with another four coming by decision.
Cage Warriors 121 takes place on Friday, March 19 from York Hall in London, England with Agy Sardari and Donovan Desmae headlining.
