Nasrat Haqparast needed a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 187 after the withdrawal of Don Madge and now he has one according to C. Contreras Legaspi as Rafa Garcia has accepted the short notice opportunity.
Haqparast (12-3-0) has won four of six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Marc Diakiese, Thibault Gouti, Joaquim Silva and Alex Munoz. Haqparast has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and two of them came to UFC fighters. Haqparast has won 12 fights as a pro MMA fighter, but none of those wins came by submission.
Garcia (11-0-0) is making his UFC debut in this fight and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over six years. Garcia is a former Combate Americas Lightweight Champion, but he relinquished the title upon signing with the UFC. Garcia has picked up seven of his 11 pro MMA wins by way of submission, with another three coming by decision.
