MEGAN ANDERSON’S NO LONGER A PART OF THE UFC & CLAIMS THE UFC IS ELIMINATING WOMEN’S FEATHERWEIGHT DIVISION, WHICH THE UFC DENIES

By David Tees on 3/10/2021 7:21 AM

Megan Anderson was steamrolled by two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes in the co-main event of UFC 259.

Anderson’s appearance at UFC 259 was the final fight of her UFC contract and she is no longer a part of the promotion. The former UFC fighter, on her Twitch channel, would also reveal that the UFC is planning on eliminating the women’s featherweight division.

MMA Fighting would reach out to the UFC after that revelation from Anderson and they denied that there is a plan in place to eliminate the women’s featherweight division.

There is another women’s featherweight division fight on the UFC schedule, as Felicia Spencer faces Danyelle Wolf on May 22.
