Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor is one of the richest athletes in the world, but his riches may have doubled after a recent sale.
A report from Danny Jones of Joe.co.uk states that McGregor has sold his Proper #12 Irish Whiskey to beverage company Becle for £122 million (approximately $155 million USD). That sale has knocked McGregor’s net worth to just over $300 million USD.
McGregor has yet to publicly comment on the sale of Proper #12 Irish Whiskey and it is unknown what role, if any, he’ll have with the brand going forward.
