A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night 188 according to MMA Island as Jesse Strader faces Montel Jackson.
Strader (5-1-0) is making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Strader has suffered a single defeat as a pro MMA fighter and that came to fellow UFC fighter Marcelo Rojo at a Combate Americas event in October of 2018. Strader has competed six times as a pro MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
Jackson (9-2-0) has won three of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Brian Kelleher, Andre Soukhamthath and Felipe Dias Corales. Jackson competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 2, Episode 1, defeating Rico DiSciullo by third round TKO. Jackson has suffered two losses as a pro MMA fighter and both of them came in UFC competition.
UFC Fight Night 188 takes place on Saturday, March 20 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Derek Brunson and Kevin Holland healdining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
