REPORT: UFC 259 BRINGS IN 800,000+ PPV BUYS WORLDWIDE

UFC 259 took place this past weekend, with Jan Blachowicz successfully defending the light heavyweight title against UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya in the main event.

The show was a successful one overall, as the Sports Business Journal reports that the event drew approximately 600,000+ buys in the United States, with another 200,000+ coming internationally. 

Other fights on the pay-per-view saw Amanda Nunes defeat Megan Anderson to retain the women’s featherweight title, Aljamain Sterling defeat Petr Yan to win the bantamweight title, Islam Makhachev defeat Drew Dober and Aleksandar Rakic defeat Thiago Santos. 

Up next for the UFC on pay-per-view is UFC 260 on March 27, which is headlined by Stipe Miocic defending the heavyweight title against Francis Ngannou.
