A heavyweight division attraction has been added to the June 5 UFC card according to MMA Empire as Ilir Latifi faces Tanner Boser.
Latifi (14-8-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a win in over three years. Latifi is winless when competing as a heavyweight in the UFC, dropping a bout to Derrick Lewis at UFC 247. Latifi is competing for the first time in over a year, as UFC 247 happened in February of 2020.
Boser (19-7-1) has won two of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Philipe Lins and Raphael Pessoa. Boser is a former multi-time Unified MMA Heavyweight Champion, last defending the title in May of 2019. Boser has competed 27 times as a professional MMA fighter and 14 of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 5 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
