A featherweight division attraction has been added to the June 5 UFC card according to MMA Junkie as Youssef Zalal faces Sean Woodson.
Zalal (10-4-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Ilia Topuria and Seung Woo Choi. Zalal hasn’t picked up a win in almost a year, with his last victory coming over Peter Barrett at UFC Fight Night 174. Zalal has seen his last five fights go the distance and it has been over a year since the fighter got a finish.
Woodson (7-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Julian Erosa at UFC On ESPN 12. Woodson is fighting for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout happened in June of 2020. Woodson has competed a total of eight times as a professional MMA fighter and half of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 5 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
