By David Tees on 3/12/2021 1:49 PM

A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC 262 according to MMA Junkie as #5 Tony Ferguson faces #9 Beneil Dariush.

Ferguson (25-5-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping fights to Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje. Ferguson hasn’t won a fight in almost two years, with that last win coming over Donald Cerrone at UFC 238 in June of 2019. Ferguson is a former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion, defeating Kevin Lee to win the title at UFC 216.

Dariush (20-4-1) comes into the bout riding a six fight winning streak and he hasn’t been defeated in over three years. Dariush’s last loss came at UFC 222 in March of 2018, where he suffered a first round knockout loss to Alexander Hernandez. Dariush has competed 25 times as a professional MMA fighter and just eight of those bouts went the distance.

UFC 262 takes place on Saturday, May 15 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
