REPORT: BEN ROTHWELL FACES PHILIPE LINS ON MAY 8 UFC CARD

A heavyweight division attraction, previously set for UFC Fight Night 187, has been rescheduled for the May 8 UFC card according MMA Junkie as Ben Rothwell faces Philipe Lins.

Rothwell (38-13-0) has won two of his last six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Stefan Struve and Ovince St. Preux. Rothwell has seen his last two fights go the distance and it has been over a year since the fighter got a finish. Rothwell has picked up 28 of 38 pro MMA wins by KO/TKO, with another six coming by way of submission. 

Lins (14-5-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping bouts to the duo of Andrei Arlovski and Tanner Boser. Lins hasn’t earned a victory in over two years, with that last win coming over Josh Copeland at the PFL Season One Finale. Lins has suffered five losses as a pro MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of submission.

UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, May 8 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans haven’t been revealed at this time.
