CWE RETURNING TO SASKATCHEWAN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 17 MONTHS

By Mike Johnson on 6/8/2021 7:02 AM

CWE Returns To Saskatchewan For 1st Time In 17 Months.

As a Manitoba based company we'd never expect to be so excited to go to the province of our heated but friendly friends to the West of us in Saskatchewan but we are and that excitement is at an all time high!

All friendly inter provincial banter aside, Saskatchewan had become a second home to Canadian Wrestling's Elite over the last 5 years with the province routinely hosting more live events on our national tours than any other province with some of the most passionate and loudest fans you will find in the entire country.

When CWE absorbed the legendary Saskatchewan based High Impact Wrestling and its 20 years of history and the decision to uphold their monthly schedule in Saskatchewan's major markets at the end of 2019 when HIW announced its closure, excitement was off the charts between both organizations as efforts would be joined together to make the Central Canadian province the most active province for pro wrestling in the country on a monthly basis.

When CWE wrapped up a weekend of events in Regina and Saskatoon in February 2020 with WWE Alumni Eugene and new champions crowned momentum was going nowhere but up for CWE's expansion in Saskatchewan and no one had any idea those would be the last pro wrestling events held in the province to this very day almost a year and a half later.

That FINALLY changes!

Canadian Wrestling's Elite is beyond ecstatic that alongside the province of Saskatchewan's reopening plan post pandemic, pro wrestling is returning to Saskatchewan!

In honor of the 12th Anniversary celebration also being hosted with events in Manitoba and Alberta in the month of July, Saskatchewan is being let in on the fun too!
