August 31st: BJ Whitmer underwent ankle reconstruction surgery on
Tuesday. Two ligaments were completely torn and needed to be
reconstructed and a big piece of destroyed cartilage along with some
bone chips were taken out of the ankle. Whitmer will miss 12-16 weeks.
The injury initially happened on 3/30 at "Dragon Gate Challenge" in
that infamous fall from the ring to the floor against Jimmy Jacobs.
Whitmer worked the entire CZW feud in pain and gutted out the injury
while trying to keep things quiet. Jacobs finished the job on the ankle
last Saturday in Chicago with a vicious attack that isolated the ankle.
Now Whitmer will face tedious rehab before he can return, hopefully
before the end of the year.
