Josh Barnett and Davey Richards First-Time Bout Set in Los Angeles
Jamie Iovine Presents “Ante Up 2: A Wrestling Experience”
HOLLYWOOD, CA – Jamie Iovine is bringing another night of action-packed wrestling to Los Angeles, this time headlined by a first-time match between MMA Legend Josh Barnett and wrestling veteran Davey Richards!
The challenge came about Monday after Barnett was announced for the event and tweeted: “Who will be brave enough to put it on the line against The Warmaster?”
Richards swiftly replied, “You've been a mentor to me for a long time, an inspiration for even longer. I accept. I'm ready for war.”
Ante Up 2 takes place on June 17th at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles and the full card is STACKED with incredible talent.
The rest of the lineup is as follows:
- Former NXT/Impact Wrestling star Taya Valkyrie vs. Danika Della Rouge
- The West Coast Wrecking Crew (Jor-El Nelson and Royce Isaacs) fresh off their incredible appearance at PWG vs. TMDK’s Shane Haste (formerly Shane Thorne of WWE fame) and JONAH (formerly NXT’s Bronson Reed).
- Former NXT wrestler Anthony Greene vs. NJPW Strong’s Adrian Quest.
- NJPW’s Karl Fredericks vs Taylor Rust (fka Tyler Rust in NXT)
- MLW’s Richard Holiday vs. Vinnie Massaro (Lucha Underground)
- West Coast legend B-Boy vs the up-and-coming sensation that is Keita
Finally, Jamie Iovine attempts to defy the odds by taking on one of So-Cal’s toughest competitors – the towering inferno known as WATTS.
