It has been over a year since the last time Kevin Lee was on the UFC roster, but the fighter is now stating that he is returning to the famed Octagon.
Lee posted the following on Instagram:
Lee also said the following in a video posted on Instagram (transcript via MMA Fighting):
“I’ve done all this s*** for y’all,” he said. “I’ve put myself and my body on the line just to end up with an alcohol problem and a tax problem, and at the end of the day, you take my respect away from me, too? It’s like OK, well s***. I’m going to stop right there.”
MMA Fighting is also reporting that Lee expects to fight in the UFC this Spring, but no other time frame has been given at this time. Lee went 11-7-0 during his first run in the UFC, which includes a failed attempt to capture the then vacant UFC Interim Lightweight Title at UFC 216.
