A middleweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Fight Night card on April 22 according to Laerte Viana as Brad Tavares faces Bruno Silva.
Tavares (19-7-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Antonio Carlos Jr. and Omari Akhmedov. Tavares hasn’t won a fight in almost two years, with his last victory coming at UFC 264 in July of 2021. Tavares has seen his last three fights go the distance and it has been almost five years since the fighter got a finish.
Silva (22-8-0) enters the contest on a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Alex Pereira and Gerald Meerschaert. Silva hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, as his last win came over Jordan Wright at UFC 269 in December of 2021. Silva had competed 30 times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 22 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
