Sean O’Malley is easily one of the most popular fighters in the UFC and the promotion recently gave him a new contract that equals that popularity.
The fighter recently revealed that he signed a new, eight fight deal with the promotion and the fighter is happy with what he is getting paid.
"I got a number I'm very happy with," O'Malley said to Marc Raimondi of ESPN. "I truly don't think any manager that I had could have went in there and got me what I got. That also helps with the relationship I've built with the UFC. I feel like I have earned this contract."
O’Malley last competed at UFC 280 in October of 2022, defeating former UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan by split decision.
Another thing that O’Malley revealed after signing his new deal is that the UFC has yet to allow him to fight out of any of his previous contracts.
"They're also fair in my situation," O'Malley said. "I've never fought out of a contract. I was always able to renegotiate before that time was over."
