By David Tees on 2/7/2023 9:56 PM

Bellator MMA made their debut on CBS this past Saturday Night with Bellator 290, which was headlined by Ryan Bader successfully defending the heavyweight title against Fedor Emelianenko.

MMA Fighting is reporting that the event drew 1.068 million viewers on CBS, which amounts to a .18 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. The event drew bigger ratings than the college basketball games held opposite it, but the MMA card failed to defeat any NBA games airing opposite of it.

Besides the heavyweight title main event, Johnny Eblen successfully defended the middleweight gold against Anatoly Tokov in the co-main event, while Brennan Ward defeated Sabah Homasi in the main card opener.

Up next for Bellator MMA is Bellator 291 on Saturday, February 25 with Yaroslav Amosov and Logan Storley meeting in a welterweight title unification fight in the main event. The card will air live on Showtime, it is unknown at this time as to when or if Bellator will return to CBS.
