A heavyweight division attraction has been added to the April 29 UFC Fight Night card according to Carlos Contreras Legaspi as Waldo Cortes-Acosta faces Marcos Rogerio De Lima.
Cortes-Acosta (9-0-0) has already picked up two wins under the UFC banner, with those coming against Jared Vanderaa and Chase Sherman. Cortes-Acosta also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Danilo Suzart by first round TKO. Cortes-Acosta competed five times in 2022, making it his most active year as a professional MMA fighter.
De Lima (20-8-1) has won three of his last five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Ben Rothwell, Maurice Greene and Andrei Arlovski. De Lima has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came in UFC competition. De Lima has picked up 20 wins in his professional MMA career and 14 of them came by KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 29 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
