REPORT: GABRIEL BENITEZ OUT, JIM MILLER NOW FIGHTING ALEXANDER HERNANDEZ AT UFC FIGHT NIGHT 219

Gabriel Benitez has been pulled from UFC Fight Night 219 according to Cageside Press, replacing him against Jim Miller is Alexander Hernandez.

Miller (35-16-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Erick Gonzalez, Nikolas Motta and Donald Cerrone. Miller hasn’t been defeated in almost two years, with his last loss coming to Joe Solecki at UFC On ABC 2 in April of 2021. Miller has picked up 35 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 19 of them have come by submission.

Hernandez (13-6-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Mike Breeden at UFC Fight Night 193. Hernandez hasn’t won a fight in over a year, as the aforementioned win over Breeden came in October of 2021. Hernandez hasn’t put a winning streak together in almost five years, with his last streak lasting for eight fights.

UFC Fight Night 219 is scheduled for Saturday, February 18 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Taila Santos and Erin Blanchfield headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
