A light heavyweight division attraction will headline the May 13 UFC Fight Night card according to MMA Ideas as #5 Anthony Smith faces #7 Johnny Walker.
Smith (36-17-0) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Devin Clark, Jimmy Crute and Ryan Spann. Smith has previously challenged for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title, losing to then champion Jon Jones at UFC 235. Smith has earned 36 wins as a professional MMA fighter and all but three of them have come by a form of finish.
Walker (20-7-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, picking up wins over Ion Cutelaba and Paul Craig. Walker has previously headlined two UFC events, dropping bouts to Jamahal Hill and Thiago Santos. Walker has seen his last three fights end in the first round and it has been over a year since one of his bouts went past the opening round.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Anthony Smith and Johnny Walker headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
