A welterweight division attraction has been added to the May 13 UFC Fight Night card according to MMA Fighting as Matt Brown faces Court McGee.
Brown (23-19-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Dhiego Lima at UFC On ESPN 25. Brown is competing for the first time in over a year, as his last bout happened at UFC On ESPN 33 in March of 2022. Brown has competed 42 times as a professional MMA fighter and just eight of those bouts went the distance.
McGee (21-11-0) has won two of his last six in the UFC, with those wins coming over Claudio Silva and Ramiz Brahimaj. McGee fought twice in 2022, making it his most active year as a professional MMA fighter since 2019. McGee was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 11, defeating Kris McCray in the finals of the reality show.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Anthony Smith and Johnny Walker headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
