A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Kansas City according to MMA Fighting as Tanner Boser faces Ion Cutelaba.
Boser (20-9-0) is making his UFC Light Heavyweight Division debut in this encounter, as he has previously fought at heavyweight. Boser has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Ovince St. Preux at UFC Fight Night 190. Boser has been a part of the UFC roster for over three years and all of his bouts have happened on Fight Night cards.
Cutelaba (16-9-0) enters the contest on a three fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the trio of Ryan Spann, Johnny Walker and Kennedy Nzechukwu. Cutelaba is coming off of his first UFC main event fight, which was a loss to the aforementioned Nzechukwu at UFC Fight Night 215. Cutelaba has earned 16 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 12 of those came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Kansas City takes place on Saturday, April 15 from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri with Max Hollaway and Arnold Allen headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
