BELLATOR SIGNS ONE-TIME FLYWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE CHALLENGER RAY BORG TO MULTI-FIGHT CONTRACT
Los Angeles — In yet another addition to BELLATOR’s elite roster, the California-based promotion is pleased to announce the signing of former UFC title challenger Ray Borg (16-5) to an exclusive contract. The New Mexico-native will make his BELLATOR MMA debut this year.
With victories at both flyweight and bantamweight during his career, Borg has achieved success in multiple weight classes, at one point culminating in a title shot against Demetrious Johnson in 2017.
“I am beyond excited and very happy to have signed with BELLATOR MMA,” Ray Borg said. “I feel like they have the best 135ers in the world and I am very excited to get in there and mix it up with all of them on one of the very biggest stages in the sport.”
Known for exciting performances and a propensity for finishing fights via submission, Borg joins a bantamweight division set to complete a World Grand Prix in April, when Raufeon Stots competes against Patchy Mix.
