William Knight, who put forth one of the worst performances in UFC history against Marcin Prachnio at UFC Fight Night 219, has been released by the promotion according to MMA Fighting.
Knight went 3-4-0 in the UFC, with an overall pro MMA record of 11-5-0, with those three UFC wins coming over Aleksa Camur, Alonzo Menifield and Fabio Cherant. Knight competed twice on Dana White’s Contender Series before getting to the UFC, picking up wins over Herdem Alacabek and Cody Brundage. Knight exits the UFC on a three fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Maxim Grishin, Devin Clark and the aforementioned Prachnio.
MMA Fighting is also reporting that Jordan Wright, who also lost at UFC Fight Night 219, has been cut by the promotion.
Wright holds an overall MMA record of 12-5-0-1NC, with an 2-5-0 record coming under the UFC banner. Wright picked up those two wins in the UFC over Jamie Pickett and Isaac Villanueva, with those losses coming to Joaquin Buckley, Bruno Silva, Marc-Andre Barriault, Dusko Tudorovic and Zac Pauga. Wright leaves the UFC riding a four fight losing streak and he hasn’t won a fight in almost two years.
