REPORT: SERGEI PAVLOVICH VS. CURTIS BLAYDES HEADLINES APRIL 22 UFC CARD

A heavyweight division attraction will headline the April 22 UFC Fight Night card according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as #3 Sergei Pavlovich faces #4 Curtis Blaydes.

Pavlovich (17-1-0) enters the contest riding a five fight winning streak, defeating Marcelo Golm, Maurice Greene, Shamil Abdurakhimov, Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa. Pavlovich has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter, with that loss coming to Alistair Overeem at UFC Fight Night 141 in November of 2018. Pavlovich has seen his last seven fights end in the first round and it has been over five years since Pavlovich fought past the opening round.

Blaydes (17-3-0-1NC) comes into the bout riding a three fight winning streak, defeating Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Chris Daukaus and Tom Aspinall. Blaydes has previously headlined six UFC cards, earning a record of 4-2-0 in those encounters. Blaydes has earned 17 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 12 of them have come by KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night: Pavlovich vs. Blaydes is scheduled for Saturday, April 22 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Sergei Pavlovich and Curtis Blaydes headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
