A heavyweight division attraction has been added to the May 20 UFC Fight Night card according to MMA Junkie as Ilir Latifi faces Rodrigo Nascimento.
Latifi (16-8-0-1NC) enters the fight riding a two bout winning streak, defeating the duo of Tanney Boser and Alexey Oleinik. Latifi hasn’t been beaten in over three years, with his last loss coming to Derrick Lewis at UFC 247 in February of 2020. Latifi has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of submission.
Nascimento (9-1-0-1NC) has won two of four under the UFC banner, with those coming over the duo of Don’Tale Mayes and Tanner Boser. Nascimento competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Michal Martinek by way of first round submission. Nascimento has competed 11 times as a pro MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, May 20 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
