A middleweight division attraction has been added to the May 20 UFC Fight Night card according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as Edmen Shahbazyan faces Anthony Hernandez.
Shahbazyan (12-3-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Dalcha Lungiambula at UFC 282. Shahbazyan has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came in UFC competition. Shahbazyan has picked up 12 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 10 of those came by KO/TKO.
Hernandez (10-2-0) enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Rodolfo Vieira, Josh Fremd and Marc-Andre Barriault. Hernandez previously competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, fighting Jordan Wright to a no contest. Hernandez has suffered two losses in his professional MMA career and both came during his time in the UFC.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, May 20 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
