A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 294 according to MMA Junkie as Danny Sabatello faces Marcos Breno.
Sabatello (13-2-0) is competing for the first time since losing to Bellator Interim Bantamweight Champion Raufeon Stots in the semi-finals of the Bellator Bantamweight World Grand Prix. Sabatello had won three straight in Bellator before that loss, with those wins coming over Jornel Lugo, Leandro Higo and Brett Johns. Sabatello also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Taylor Moore by unanimous decision.
Breno (15-2-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator banner, having defeated Josh Hill by unanimous decision at Bellator 284. Breno hasn’t been defeated in over three years, with his last loss coming to Taylor Lapilus at Ares FC 1 in August of 2019. Breno has earned 15 wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Bellator 294 is scheduled for Friday, April 21 from the Neil S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii with Liz Carmouche and DeAnna Bennett headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Showtime.
