UFC 285 is in the books and two new champions were crowned at the event as Jon Jones defeated Ciryl Gane to win the UFC Heavyweight Title, while Alexa Grasso defeated Valentina Shevchenko to win the UFC Women’s Flyweight Title.
A total of five fighters have been awarded bonuses in the form of $50,000 each according to MMA Junkie, with Jones, Grasso and Bo Nickal earning $50,000 each for “Performance Of The Night.” Shavkat Rakhmonov and Geoff Neal each picked up $50,000 each for “Fight Of The Night.” Neal missed weight for the bout by four pounds, which would usually disqualify a fighter from earning a bonus of any kind, but UFC President Dana White said Neal was getting the bonus anyway for his performance.
Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night 221, which is headlined by former UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili.
