Jon Jones scored a first round submission win over former UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 285, a win that secured Jones the UFC Heavyweight Title.
Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou, who left the promotion earlier this year due to a contract disputed, tweeted the following at Jones after UFC 285:
Good job Jonny Boy ????

Sincerely,
The heavyweight king
“Francis is a big ol’ p****,” Jones said after the event (transcript via Steven Marrocco of MMA Fighting).
Jones was able to get a shot at the vacant heavyweight title after Ngannou left the UFC and it is unlikely the duo will ever meet in the Octagon after UFC President Dana White said that Ngannou would never fight in the UFC ever again.
The newly crowned heavyweight champion would also take another shot at Ngannou after the event.
“I love that quote,” Jones said with a laugh. “I love it. All that muscle, with a big ass p****. Excuse me. I’m so sorry.”
