A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 295 according to MMA Mania as #6 Kyoji Horiguchi faces Ray Borg.
Horiguchi (31-5-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Yuto Hokamura and Hiromasa Ougikubo. Horiguchi is back in Bellator for the first time in over a year, as his last appearance came at Bellator 279 in April of 2022. Horiguchi competed in the Bellator Bantamweight World Grand Prix, losing to Patchy Mix in the opening round.
Borg (16-5-0) is making his Bellator debut in this encounter and does so while riding a three fight winning streak. Borg has previously competed for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC 216 in October of 2017. Borg has earned 16 wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of those have come by way of decision.
Bellator 295 takes place on Saturday, April 22 from the Neil S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii with Patchy Mix and Raufeon Stots headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Showtime.
