A women’s bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night San Antonio according to MMA Junkie as Hailey Cowan faces Tamires Vidal.
Cowan (7-2-0) is making her UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Cowan did compete on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Claudia Leite by split decision on week four of the 2022 season. Cowan spent the majority of her professional MMA career competing in the LFA, where she earned a 5-2-0 record.
Vidal (7-1-0) is undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Ramona Pascul by first round TKO at UFC Fight Night 214. Vidal enters the contest riding a six fight winning streak and she hasn’t been defeated in over three years. Vidal has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to UFC veteran Karol Rosa at MMA Brutus 1.
