A welterweight division attraction has been added to the May 13 UFC Fight Night card according to ESPN Deportes as Ian Garry faces Daniel Rodriguez.
Garry (11-0-0) has already picked up four wins under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Jordan Williams, Darian Weeks, Gabriel Green and Kenan Song. Garry is a former Cage Warriors Welterweight Champion, but he relinquished the gold upon signing with the UFC in 2021. Garry has picked up 11 wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of those have come by way of KO/TKO.
Rodriguez (17-3-0) has won four of his last five in the UFC, with those four wins coming against Mike Perry, Preston Parsons, Kevin Lee and Li Jingliang. Rodriguez competed just two times in 2022, which was his last active year as a professional MMA fighter since 2016. Rodriguez has been defeated three times in his pro MMA career, but he has yet to be beaten by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 form the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Anthony Smith and Johnny Walker headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
