Manel Kape and Alex Perez were supposed to battle at UFC Fight Night San Antonio, but the bout wound up being canceled during the broadcast.
Kape would take to Instagram after the new broke, stating that Perez is a coward for not fighting him:
Perez, in a series of tweets, would state that he suffered a seizure backstage at UFC Fight Night San Antonio:
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for all the support and concerns. I was doing my pre-fight warm up and had a seizure. I immediately received medical attention. My hydration, electrolytes, etc were all more than adequate. This has nothing to do with weight cut. It was

Kape would also respond to Perez's tweets, stating that Perez was scared to fight him and that was why the fight was canceled, not a seizure like Perez claimed:
