A women's strawweight division affair has been added to UFC 289 according to MMA Fighting as Maria Oliveira faces Diana Belbita.
Oliveira (13-6-0) has won just one of three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Gloria De Paula at UFC On ESPN 37. Oliveira has seen her last three fights go the distance and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish. Oliveira has earned 13 wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Belbita (14-7-0) has picked up just one win in four tries under the UFC banner, with her lone win coming over Hannah Goldy at UFC On ESPN 27. Belbita is competing for the first time in over a year, as her last bout came at UFC Fight Night 201 in February of 2022. Belbita has been beaten seven times in her pro MMA career, but the fighter has yet to be beaten by way of KO/TKO.
