Former UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya faces current champion Alex Pereiira in the main event of UFC 287.
Adesanya believes that his chance to regain the middleweight title at UFC 287 will be his last opportunity to become 185 pound champion again.
“I’m hunting, and I mean that in every sense of the word,” Adesanya said on his YouTube channel (transcript via Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie). “The mindset is different, definitely. Even (coach) Eugene (Bareman) and I are on the same page. The mindset is definitely different. I like it because it puts it all on me, and it’s kind of poetic in a way. One life: Roll the dice. This is my last shot, and I’m going to give it all I’ve got in every sense of the word.”
Pereira is currently 3-0-0 against Adesanya, with one win coming under the UFC banner and the other two coming in kickboxing bouts.
