A welterweight division attraction has been added to the May 13 UFC Fight Night card according to Iridium Sports Agency as Bryan Battle faces Gabe Green.
Battle (8-2-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Gilbert Urbina, Tresean Gore and Takashi Sato. Battle is also coming off of the first loss of his UFC tenure, which came to Rinat Fakhretdinov at UFC Fight Night 216. Battle has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of those have come by submission.
Green (11-4-0) has won two of four thus far in the UFC, with those wins coming over the duo of Phil Rowe and Yohan Lainesse. Green has suffered four losses in his pro MMA career and three of those came against fighters currently on the UFC roster. Green is also fighting for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout happened at UFC 276 in July of 2022.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 from a location to be announced with Anthony Smith and Johnny Walker headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
