John Salter competed at Bellator 293, defeating Aaron Jefferey by unanimous decision in what turned out to be the final fight of his professional MMA career.
That's because Salter, who has experience in both the UFC and Bellator, announced his retirement after the bout.
Salter earned a 19-6-0 record as a professional MMA fighter, with notable wins coming over Jeremiah Riggs, Jason MacDonald, Kalib Starnes, Dustin Jacoby, Brandon Halsey, Kendall Grove, Chidi Njokuani and Costello Van Steenis. Salter also had previously challenged for the Bellator Middleweight Title, losing to then champion Gegard Mousasi at Bellator 264.
