REPORT: ROB WILKINSON FAILS DRUG TEST, PULLED FROM REMAINDER OF 2023 PFL SEASON

By David Tees on 5/31/2023 2:51 PM

2022 PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Rob Wilkinson has apparently lost his chance to become a 2023 light heavyweight champion because MMA Mania is reporting that Wilkinson has failed a drug test and has been pulled from the remainder of the 2023 PFL season.

It is unknown at this time as to what substance Wilkinson was popped for, but he could be facing sanctions from the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC).

Wilkinson was scheduled to fight Ty Flores at 2023 PFL 4, but Flores will now face late replacement Dan Spohn at the event.

The PFL has been dealing with a plethora of failed drug tests for the 2023 season, as nine other fighters, not including Wilkinson, have been popped for illegal substances this season. Outside of Wilkinson, Bruno Cappelozza, Krzystof Jotko, Alejandro Flores, Thiago Santos, Daniel Torres, Cezar Ferreira, Mohammad Fakhreddine, Rizvan Kuniev and Will Fleury have also been suspended during the 2023 season for failed drug tests.
