REPORT: JESSE BUTLER REPLACES JARED GORDON AT UFC VEGAS 74

By David Tees on 6/1/2023 8:18 PM

Jared Gordon will no longer be fighting Jim Miller as UFC Vegas 74, as Eurosport NL is reporting that Jesse Butler is replacing Gordon on the card.

Miller (35-17-0-1NC) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Erick Gonzalez, Nikolas Motta and Donald Cerrone. Miller hasn’t earned a victory in almost a year, as his last win came back at UFC 276 in July of 2022. Miller has earned 35 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 19 of them have come by way of submission.

Butler (12-4-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and he does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Butler hasn’t been defeated in over three years, with his last loss coming to Colin Wright at AKA Rite Of Passage 10 in November of 2019. Butler has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of those have come by way of decision.

UFC Vegas 74 takes place on Saturday, June 3 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Kai Kara-France and Amir Albazi headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
