9/16 BYB EXTREME FIGHTING SERIES FIGHT RESULTS FROM BILOXI, MS

This past Saturday, Sept. 16, BYB Extreme Fighting Series returned to Biloxi, Mississippi for its highly anticipated “BYB 20: Brawl on the Bayou” at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Fans saw some new and familiar faces as worlds collided in BYB’s three-sided patented “Trigon” ring.

The card was headlined by the long-awaited rematch between Paty Juarez and Monica Medina where after a grueling fight, Medina was named the new world champion

Fans also witnessed Hurricane Ike Villanueva make his bare knuckle debut in his first professional fight since his time in the UFC, and defeat fellow veteran Matt Kovacs by first-round TKO.

Event match ups included: 

  1. Paty Juarez vs. Monica Medina 
  2. Kealii Kanekoa vs. Harrison Aiken
  3. Julio Tanori vs. Jeremiah Potts
  4. Ike Villanueva vs. Matt Kovacs
  5. Walter Saravia vs. Isaac Ware
  6. Harold McQueen vs. Alexander Sitarchuk
  7. Eric Olsen vs. Eryk Majda
  8. Isaiah Quinones vs. JD Burns

 

The outcomes of these matches are as follows: 

  1. Biloxi's Monica Medina won BYB Lightweight Championship and Police Gazette World Diamond Belt by unanimous decision in fight of the night main event at BYB 20 against Paty Juarez. Medina avenged her May 2022 split decision loss to Juarez to win the unified BYB Lightweight title and Police Gazette World Diamond belt in their second main event match to go the distance.
  2. In the co main event, Hurricane Ike Villanueva made his bare knuckle debut in his first professional fight since his time in the UFC, defeating fellow veteran Matt Kovacs by first-round TKO.
  3. Lightweight Harold “Lightning” McQueen stepped up a weight class a month after competing for the BYB featherweight title and lived up to his name taking down Oleksandr Sitarchuk withquick strikes and coring a first-round KO along with KO of the Night honors.
  4. 21-year-old Lightweight Julio Tanori remains undefeated after a first-round KO of Jeremiah Potts.
  5. Cruiserweight Kealii Kanekoa defeated Harrison Aiken by first-round KO.
  6. In the night's opening match, Isaiah Quinones defeated JD Burns by second-round KO.
  7. BKB's Eryk Majda ruined Eric Olsen's homecoming, defeating the fellow heavyweight by second-round TKO.
  8. Walter Saravia Impressed in his debut, knocking out Isaac Ware with a strong uppercut in the 3rd round.
