The UFC Heavyweight Title will no longer be defended in the main event of UFC 295 as champion Jon Jones has suffered a torn pectoral muscle while training. Jones is expected to get surgery shortly to repair the damage and could be out of action for around 8 months.

Stipe Miocic, who was scheduled to face Jones for the title, has also been pulled from the card for undisclosed reasons.
A new UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion will now be crowned at the event as #2 Sergei Pavlovich faces #4 Tom Aspinall.
Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira, who are fighting for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Title, will now headline the card, while Pavlovich versus Aspinall will serve as the co-main event.
