Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou is boxing Tyson Fury this weekend, which will mark his boxing debut.

UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has suffered an injury and will no longer fight former UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 295, a situation that Ngannou calls “sad news."

“Well, I think it’s sad news,” Ngannou told MMA Junkie. “It’s never good news when athletes get injured. Basically, in training.  I hope he recovers well. I was very excited to watch that fight and see who was going to win that fight.”

Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall will fight for the vacant UFC Interim Heavyweight in the co-main event of UFC 295.

Ngannou also says that the pectoral injury suffered by Jones is an injury that came happen to anyone.

“Something like this is not something you can blame to somebody,” Ngannou said. “It’s something that can happen to everybody. It could’ve happened here. It could happen to anybody. I don’t think that’s a part of the decision, but yes. It sucks, though.”
