A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Shanghai according to Marcel Dorff as Tatsuro Taira faces Carlos Hernandez.
Taira (14-0-0) has already earned four wins under the UFC banner, with those coming over Carlos Candelario, CJ Vergara, Jesus Santos Aguilar and Edgar Chairez. Taira has earned 14 wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of those have come by way of submission. Taira is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that undefeated streak has lasted for over five years.
Hernandez (9-2-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Victor Altamirano and Denys Bondar. Hernandez has competed a total of 11 times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts have ended by KO/TKO. Hernandez is competing for the third time this year, making 2023 his most active year as a professional MMA fighter since 2019.
UFC Fight Night Shanghai takes place on Saturday, December 9 from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
