A flyweight division attraction has been added to the January 13 UFC Fight Night card according to Marcel Dorff as Felipe Bunes faces Denys Bondar.
Bunes (13-6-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Bunes hasn’t been defeated in almost two years, with his last loss coming to UFC veteran Jussier Formiga at LFA 124. Bunes has picked up 13 wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of those came by way of submission.
Bondar (14-4-0) is winless thus far during his UFC journey, dropping bouts to the duo of Malcolm Gordon and Carlos Hernandez. Bondar hasn’t earned a victory in over three years, with his last win coming over Kenan Jafarli at an August 2020 WWFC event. Bondar has competed a total of 18 times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of them went the distance.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, January 13 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
