Mateusz Rebecki is going to remain in the UFC 295 card after all following the withdrawal of his original opponent in Nurullo Aliev, as the Iridium Sports Agency has revealed that Roosevelt Roberts has accepted the short notice opportunity.
Rebecki (18-1-0) has gone two for two in the UFC thus far, having defeated the duo of Nick Fiore and Loik Radzhabov. Rebecki also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Rodrigo Lidio by first round submission during the 2022 season. Rebecki hasn’t been defeated in over nine years, with his lone professional MMA defeat coming to Pawel Kielek in September of 2014.
Roberts (12-3-0-1NC) has been undefeated since being booted from the UFC in 2021, defeating the duo of Darren Smith Jr and Alexandre Almeida. Roberts won four fights during his first UFC run, with those wins coming against Darrell Horcher, Thomas Gifford, Alexander Yakovlev and Brok Weaver. Roberts has earned 12 wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of those have come by way of submission.
