By David Tees on 11/9/2023 8:30 AM

A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 297 according to Marcel Dorff as Charles Jourdain faces Sean Woodson.

Jourdain (15-6-1) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, with those wins coming over Kron Gracie and Ricardo Ramos. Jourdain hasn’t been defeated in over a year, with that last loss coming to Nathaniel Wood at UFC Fight Night 209 in September of 2022. Jourdain has picked up 15 wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

Woodson (10-1-1) has won three of his last four in the UFC, having defeated the trio of Youssef Zalal, Collin Anglin and Dennis Buzukja. Woodson’s lone blemish as a professional MMA fighter was a third round submission loss to Julian Erosa at UFC On ESPN 12 in June of 2020. Woodson also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Terrence McKinney by second round knockout during the 2019 season.

UFC 297 takes place on Saturday, January 20 from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
