Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jiri Prochazka suffered a second round TKO loss to newly crowned UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 295.
Prochazka has now taken to Instagram to issue a video statement on the loss, while also defending referee Marc Goddard for what some saw as an early stoppage at UFC 295:
Tristen Critchfield of Sherdog provided the following transcript of what Prochazka said in the Instagram video:
“Hello everyone, I just want to say to all of you thank you for your support. This is for me just motivation. Nothing else. Marc Goddard was right. Maybe two or three more seconds and it would be a different way, but what happened, happened. I accept that. Watch me now. I’ll be back stronger than ever. Thank you for the support.”
