A flyweight division attraction has been added to the February 24 UFC Fight Night card according to AG Fight as Victor Altamirano faces Felipe Dos Santos.
Altamirano (12-3-0) has won two of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Daniel Da Silva and Vinicius Salvador. Altamirano competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Carlos Candelario by split decision during the 2021 season. Altamirano is a former LFA Flyweight Champion, defeating Nate Smith by unanimous decision to win the gold at LFA 100.
Dos Santos (7-1-0-1NC) is winless thus far in the UFC, dropping a bout to Manel Kape by unanimous decision at UFC 293. Dos Santos hasn’t won a fight in just over a year, last defeating Hugo Paiva by unanimous decision at LFA 146. Dos Santos has earned seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and three of them have come by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, February 24 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
