A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC 299 according to the Iridium Sports Agency as #10 Pedro Munhoz faces Kyler Phillips.
Munhoz (20-8-0-2NC) has won just one of his last five under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Chris Gutierrez at UFC On ESPN 44 in April of 2023. It has been over five years since the last time Munhoz put a win streak together and that last such streak lasted for three fights. Munhoz has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of decision.
Phillips (11-2-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Marcelo Rojo and Raoni Barcelos. Phillips hasn’t been defeated in over two years, with that last loss coming to Raulian Paiva at UFC On ESPN 27 in July of 2021. Phillips has earned 11 wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of those victories came by way of KO/TKO.
